Keshala is an Administrator and provides Therapy Support at The Kids Place.
Keshala has worked in numerous roles providing administration and project support at the The University of Auckland, University of Sydney, Kings College and Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
She is qualified Pharmacist and has a postgraduate certificate in Pharma-economics and health policy. She is currently a Women’s Health Advocate and member of the Community Voice Resource Group at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Over the years, Keshala has delved into community initiatives to support children meet and realise their potential in a safe and inclusive environment. She has been a coach supporting children to learn Waterpolo and Cricket through North Harbour and Auckland Cricket. She is currently a committee member of two community volunteer groups; Mairangi Bay Community Garden and Group Leader at Mairangi Bay Scout Group, both strive to provide children with opportunities to garden, go on adventures and learn survival skills.
As a Scout leader she is very comfortable working in group settings and adapting to the needs of children on the day. Through Scouts leadership, she has been trained by Autism NZ on how to support children from different backgrounds and learning needs, and developing resources and programmes that are inclusive and adaptable.
Keshala adores seeing children growing in leaps and bounds and progressing, whether this is learning new skills or shining in a group setting. She is an advocate for providing an environment that will encourage children to develop those skills through play and providing the appropriate resources or adaptations to be able to grow their confidence in their own abilities.
