The Kids Place have many happy clients. Here is what a few of them have to say.

Parent of a 4 year old girl

I am more than impressed in how my daughter has progressed and improved her general skills while attending sessions with both the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists at The Kids’ Place over the last couple of months. Miss 4’s general confidence in everything she does has changed out of sight with positive comments coming from her teachers at Kindy as well as a noticeable difference in her general development.

I can’t recommend the team highly enough. They are so friendly, fun and positive that it was no surprise when my son’s OT sessions with them soon became the highlight of his week. The team immediately gained his enthusiasm and trust by taking as a starting point his natural interests and inclinations, and consequently working with him, rather than against him. Their talents in their own field’s, and their broad knowledge of child development in general, has not only been of immense benefit to my son, but also to my own self confidence as a parent.

Our son was having trouble focusing and processing information at school as well as meeting the standards in reading and writing. After 8 months we have seen major improvements in the areas mentioned resulting in a good school report and our son having caught up to where he should be according to his age. This has taken hard work in the weekly sessions with The Kids Place team which also included daily exercises they suggested doing at home but the results speak for themselves. They are all wonderfully warm people, and have a fantastic rapport with children. They certainly connected with our son straight away. He loves attending the sessions.

On a professional level we feel that the team communicates in a clear and easy to understand manner. We can throughly recommend The Kids Place

Parent of a 9 year old boy

My husband and I were hoping that The Kids Place would be able to help us with our son’s fine motor control but what has actually happened is that they gave us so much more. For me the most significant benefit for our son has been his boost in confidence. The team have the most wonderful manner with our son (and I’m sure all clients). He comes out of the sessions bubbling with successes he has had and stories of how he has solved problems. This has lead to him having a greater belief in himself when faced with other problems outside of the safety of the clinic. They have also been able to provide formal testing and jargon free informative assessments for us to read through and gain a better understanding of our son’s strengths and weaknesses.

I will be for ever grateful for their professionalism, dedication and loving, warm nature that has changed the trajectory of our sons life.

Parent of a 9 year old boy

Our 9 year old son started to see The Kids Place team during our journey to understand why he was almost two years behind at school, struggling with reading and writing. He loves school and is bright and social so we didn’t know what was going on. I felt so frustrated before we went to The Kids Place because we had already tried so many other things to help our son with his learning. They made the sessions so much fun, my son loved going, and in only 7 months he has almost caught up at school!  Their kindness and support of me as a parent is also very appreciated.

The Kids Place have been working with our son for over a year now and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. He needed help with both his fine and gross motor skills, as well as his confidence and social skills. From his ability to hold a pencil to his ball skills, the progress has been huge. Best of all, he loves his PT and OT sessions and sees them as a treat, rather than a chore. They’ve both developed a lovely bond with our son and the team is currently playing a huge role in his transition to school. We couldn’t do it without them!

Parent of a 7 year old girl

After her first appointment at The Kids’ Place my daughter said it was the best place ever and asked when could she go back. 6 months later and she still looks forward to her appointments each week. I am enjoying learning about my daughters areas that are challenging her and the things I can do to help her at home. I loved that the team explained early on that they could also help my daughter with some of the ‘holes’ she had in some of her areas in her learning. I’m not sure who enjoys coming each week the most, my daughter for the confidence building, fun activities and genuine warm approach that they have towards her or me, for the reassurance, information and down to earth understanding of busy family life.

From the outset we could see that the team are genuinely dedicated to the progress and wellbeing of each child that walks through their door.
We love that there are professionals available each with different skillsets to add to the total input. The calibre of professionals is impressive, they are knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated to furthering their own knowledge in all aspects of child development.

Our son has spent considerable time with the Physiotherapists as well as the Occupational Therapists and has made great gains. The best aspect is that our son looks forward to going there. He sees it as a fun place to spend time, and considers the team there part of his circle of “big friends.” It’s a delight and I cannot be happier we found them.

Our six-month old daughter has hypotonia (low muscle tone) and attends The Kids Place for physiotherapy sessions. They are amazing with her and so encouraging. The Physiotherapists are a wealth of knowledge during sessions and have devised home programmes after each session for us to follow.
