We help babies, pre-schoolers and school age children who need assistance with reaching their developmental potential through Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. This includes children who experience difficulties with balance, co-ordination & movement, fine motor skills (including handwriting), visual perceptual skills, sensory processing difficulties, emotional regulation and more. We work with children in a well equipped and fun therapy gym, with an option for Telehealth appointments for families / whanau who live in other parts of New Zealand, or who are unable to make face to face appointments.
We work with babies and children to overcome challenges they may have with play, learning, attention, movement skills and individual sensory and emotional challenges.
We support and encourage babies and children to develop their motor skills, independence and confidence in all areas of play and development.
Experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy team who help babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children to be understood, reach their potential and enjoy life. We are based in Auckland and support children and families / whanau nationwide.
We are now a Registered Charitable Company. This ensures all profits are used to directly support the children we serve. Charitable Company status also enables The Kids Place to seek financial support to expand our services and enable more children to receive the support they need. Donors are now able to support The Kids Place and benefit from tax rebates linked to charitable giving.
At The Kids Place we offer a variety of groups to help support your child with the practice and development of new skills. Our aim is to help the children grow in confidence, learn resilience and most of all assist with the development of a healthy self esteem, within a safe group environment.
Developmental concerns are important to address as early as possible to ensure your child has the best chance of reaching their potential.
The team at The Kids Place would love to help.
Parent of a 9 year old boy
Our 9 year old son started to see The Kids Place team during our journey to understand why he was almost two years behind at school, struggling with reading and writing. He loves school and is bright and social so we didn’t know what was going on. I felt so frustrated before we went to The Kids Place because we had already tried so many other things to help our son with his learning. They made the sessions so much fun, my son loved going, and in only 7 months he has almost caught up at school! Their kindness and support of me as a parent is also very appreciated.
